Delaney rating system ranks all dogs in AKC obedience who place 1st thru 4th in all AKC Open and Utility classes during a given calendar year. One point is earned for each dog defeated in a class.

"Baby" Dare, already a veteran Therapy dog, debuted as a two year old in obedience, and quickly picked up his CD & CDX: his first weekend out he got two legs towards his CD with placements & mid-90s scores, then finished his CD in supreme style in OCT, going all-breed HIGH IN TRIAL in Alamogordo with a 197. He then started his CDX hunt the next day on a move-up with a 194.5. And he finished his CDX in a single weekend January'09. Dare started on his march towards a UD in Midland in early April, where he got his first UD leg with a 192 & a First. Dare FINISHED HIS UD at Albuquerque in May'09, gaining 3 Firsts along the way, and ending with a score of 191.5. We had looked for Dare to now work towards his UDX and OTCH pts., expecting him to excel over his sire and even his auntie Rosie, but this young dog was taken from us suddenly the summer of 2009 by a stomach virus.

We all mourn the loss to the breed
as well as his owner-trainer-handler Dina Whitehouse. He was a popular therapy dog locally, as well as a favorite
of so many around the obedience ring. Dare always represented this breed proudly, and it's a tragedy that such
a promising career was cut short, but he accomplished a lot while here. DARE: 2006-2009.

ALLONS is the motto of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the US Army, and means "FORWARD!" or "LET's GO!" and is a fitting name for a son of our Guidon, who is not only the only current male Dane with a UD title, but the resident canine Red Cross volunteer at one of our military bases, and was named for the standard-bearer (soldier with the flag in a military formation). Guidon is formally known as "CHROMA Pride Of The Regiment UD." Our "Dare"--like his dad--lives on Ft. Bliss and is owned by CW2 Whitehouse and his wife Dina. The Black Horse Regiment has served our nation for over a hundred years. We are proud to show our support of our military with these monikers, and as we are all active and/or military veterans (and/or spouses of the same), feel we have earned the association.
