is still the ONLY GREAT DANE TO EVER HAVE BEEN RANKED IN BREED, OBEDIENCE, AGILITY & RALLY. He was CHOSEN by
the CANINE HEALTH FOUNDATION as the FIRST GREAT DANE selected for the CHAMPION OF HEALTH AWARD --an OFA program to promote the "total purebred dog"--and he has his own page at OFA. PIRATE was born
fall of 1998 and lived 10+ healthy years (we lost him the end of 2008). He was heart normal at 10 years, thyroid
normal as a veteran, and is a participant in the Canine Health Foundation's DNA Repository program.

overall masculinity. He is a joy to show & trial, and a delight to live with. He has a scissors bite, correct
occlusion, & a quiet tail of proper length. He offers superior
health testing, a cheerful demeanor, outstanding soundness, and overall type with balance. His get are demonstating

Dane owners get asked<G>that? Well thanks to Rocking S Pony Express
out of Lubbock TX, the answer is "right here" as they had a saddle that fit Pirate just fine. They did
say they had ponies smaller than Pirate...

We spent Sunday afternoon
at Stanton's
"Old Sorehead Days"--a
weekend 3X a year where this wonderful small town in West Texas has an old-style country fair & trade days
festival with great food, great folks, lots of wonderful music & things to see, do & buy.
